Q. Which products are suitable for use in the bottle warmer?
A. The bottle warmer is compatible with all MAM bottles, storage solutions, food jars/tins as well as any other common bottles that fit in the bottle warmer.

Q. How much water do I need to add?
A.Refer to the table given in the instruction manual.

Q.How long does it take to heat milk taken from the fridge?
A.This depends on milk volume and bottle type. Approximately 4 to 6 minutes, although much depends on the amount of milk being warmed. Always test the temperature before giving it to your baby.

Q. Is the milk ready when the light flashes on and off?

A. No. A flashing LED means that the selected programme is running.

Q. Will the warmer keep the milk at a controlled temperature?
A. Yes, for up to 45minutes.

Q. Can breast milk be defrosted in the warmer?
Yes, breast milk can be defrosted in the bottle warmer.

Q. How do I clean my electric bottle warmer?

A. Always unplug the appliance from the mains before cleaning it. Do not clean the appliance when it is hot. Do not use strong or abrasive cleaning or scouring agents, as these could damage the appliance's surface. After every use, unplug the appliance and wipe it with a damp cloth to avoid any build up of limescale.
The appliance must never be immersed in water. Never place it in a dishwasher to clean it.

Q. How often should I descale my bottle warmer?
A.Descale the appliance at regular intervals but do not descale the appliance while it is hot.
Always unplug the appliance from the mains before descaling it. Use household vinegar or a commercially available decalcifying agent for this purpose.
If the appliance ever needs repairing, under no circumstances attempt to open it. Instead, contact your local MAM representative. The appliance must never be immersed in water. Never place it in a dishwasher to clean it.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully.

Q. Device does not start when ON button pressed
A. 1. Check that the mains lead is plugged in to the power supply and that the power outlet is switched on.
2. The product is fitted with a BS 1363 mains plug containing a 13A fuse. If it ever becomes necessary to replace the fuse, only use fuses that are marked
BS 1362, and rated at 13A.
3. Please contact your local MAM representative.

Q. Food not getting hot
A. 1. Switch on the device by briefly pressing the ON button. If the light does not switch on and no sound signal is heard, refer to question number 9.
2.. See Bottle/Jar Warming water chart for the required quantity of water. Use the MAM bottle cap to pour water into the water reservoir and note the exact quantity specified.
3.. Descale on a regular basis, according to the instructions.

Q. The steriliser basket is too small, I cannot fit larger/all items in
A. There are two baskets in the steriliser. It is not necessary to always use both baskets. If you have larger items, just use the bottom basket onlyt. If necessary, sterilise the smaller items in a second cycle using both baskets.

Q. Bottle Warmer Cover does not fit over bottle or jar.
A. Warm bottle or jar without the Bottle Wamer Cover, simply place into the Bottle warmer Basket. Please note, that it might take more time for all bottle warming programs and more water for Express Warming and Defrosting to warm up the food. Warning! More steam can be released if cover is not used and therefore scalding hazard if not careful.

Q. Limescale on plastic parts (bottle warmer parts, plate, steriliser parts).
A. 1. After every use, unplug the appliance, let it cool down and wipe it with a damp cloth to avoid any build up of limescale
2. If limescale arise: Use household vinegar or a commercially available decalcifying agent (according the manufacturer's instructions) for this purpose.

Q.A programme could be selected but not started - the device emits an acoustic signal (5 short beeps) when the user tries to start some programme.
Q. One program was started with insufficient amount of water. This is a signal that device is not cooled down to be restarted again (you can accelerate cooling down by pouring 200ml cold water into water reservoir that you will pour out after cooling down). Pour the amount of water indicated on the Bottle & Jar Warmer Chart into water reservoir, select and start the programme again.

Q. LEDs are blinking in sequence.
A. Pour the amount of water indicated on the Bottle & Jar Warmer Chart into water reservoir and start the programme again.

Q. Some LEDs blink rapidly (5 blinks per second); programme cannot be selected.

Q. When the water in the base runs out before the end of the heating or keep warm period, does this damage the baby bottle?
A. No, the device is designed in a way that the power is switched off from the heating plate. The accumulated heat in the plate is used for completing the keep warm or heating cycles.

Q. What are the implications if the keep warm function fails to turn off and the device is left on and very hot.
A. The keep warm function simply works by using the left heat inside the plate without additional electric heating. By pressing the ON/Off button and/or pulling the plug, the device can be switched turn off, but might be still warm.

Q. Can I use pouches in the MAM Electric Steriliser & Express Bottle warmer?
A. Because the contents of food pouches cannot be stirred to distribute the heat evenly, hotspots are unavoidable. This means that there is a risk of burning baby's mouth. To avoid this risk, always empty the contents of a food pouch into another container (e.g. MAM Storage Solution) before heating. Then simply warm it according to the product instructions.
